by Jax S. on A few friends and I decided to do a nice dinner/date night including sushi. When I was looking for a place on rateclubs, BarChi only had 23 reviews but all were good. When we arrived we were the only patrons in the whole place and no one else came in for the rest of out dinner.:( The sushi was very good and we received a complimentary bottle of pineapple infused saki which was amazing. We were also told their Sunday brunch Bloody Mary's are made with pepper infused saki. I try to go to this place regularly as the service, sushi, and prices are great. However, I am afraid even though it's only been open for 3 months that if they don't get more business they might have to close. :( Happy Sushi hunting, rateclubsers!
by Laura B. on Never again. To be fair, this was my one and only experience here, so maybe it's not as bad on a less crowded night. I was here on a Saturday night for a bachelorette party and it was so bad that we had to leave. We had reserved a table for six, which happened to have a $200 minimum. So we bought an overpriced $100 bottle of unremarkable champagne. Think I blocked it from my memory because it was probably $20 at Safeway. The waitress was inattentive and slow, but honestly, I was mostly just annoyed at the surroundings. It was so crowded and loud that we couldn't talk to each other. Two members of our group went downstairs to dance (I warned them that this might be a bad idea from what I could tell). Sure enough, they came back upstairs after being groped and harassed. One guy lunged at one of the girls and kissed her! She has a boyfriend and did not provoke him. Gross. I'm not saying the Bubble Lounge is responsible for the behavior of their clientele, however, they were very rude to us when I explained the situation and asked if we could leave without meeting our minimum. The server and bartender wouldn't let me speak to a manager! Finally the server agreed to let us leave without meeting the minimum. We ran out of there as fast as possible and straight to...Shanghai Kelly's! By the way, the line for the bathroom was so long at the Bubble Lounge that we had to wait until we got to Shanghai Kelly's. Never thought I would be so excited to get to that bathroom, ha!
by Denita Myklebust on The food is super cheap so - my friend and I had Salvadoreno salads, appetizers and two entrees AND drinks and the bill was under 20 bucks. SO VERY TASTY. i wish I could tell u what I ate. A pupusa, this potato thing, I could hardly read or pronounce most of the menu but my friend is a veggie and so was I that night so it was no prob. She juice drinks are amazingly heavenly and refreshing.
