When you come to the intersection of Passyunk and 9th, you look at one side and you see bright colorful lights...enticing you to come over to try their "World Famous Cheesesteaks." Then you look to the other side and you see a old building that isn't as flashy, but they promise the same thing. Sure lots of people like Geno's.  And lot's of people like Pat's.  I don't think you'll get a consensus from Philadelphians.  But that's what makes our country great.  You have a choice.  Pick one or the other.  It doesn't matter, as long as it makes you happy. I like Geno's bread.  But Pat's steak is better.

I suprisingly like this place...I'm not a big fan of this place on thursday night..due to the all white people crowd..lol..sorry I like to see some varieties...anyhow..thursday night is techno night and also not that busy.. I love the place cuz its a descent size and it's fairly clean..cool slide to use to enter the club downstairs. I don't remember if the drinks were pricey..im already buzzin everytime i come here so sorry if I can't help u guys on that one. This place is fun so come check it out.

Perfect for special occasion dinners: go in a party dress (preferrably something with sequins and/or a metallic lining) and without a budget and you'll have a fabulous evening. STK and its staff are gorgeous, food delicious, drinks potent and pricey.  Friends and I have ordered and loved the tuna tartare and scallop ceviche apps - I would pass on the shrimp rice krispies.  When sharing appetizers and sides, the filet medallion is a perfect entree.  The parmesan truffle fries are a MUST: my one friend wakes up in night sweats over them. In terms of cocktails, pass on the gin fizz and go for the white orchid or tempest storm. Finish the night by trying to get into tenjune.

Went to Brewskees with a friend to shoot pool. Some guys kept trying to get us to dance, even though we told them we weren't there to dance but to shoot pool. Being very perisistent, they grabbed our hands and began to pull us toward the dance floor. As I jerked my hand away and turned, I caught a fleeting glimpise of someone dashing out the back door with not only our long leather coats, but our purses as well. Although he called the police and reported it, and also reported that we felt those guys were in on it, we could not prove it. Nor did we get our coats or purses back. Needless to say, we have never gone back there, and I strongly advise that if you go, only take your footprints with you! I rate this bar minus 10 stars!
