I'm 22, and go to plenty of clubs around New York because most of my friends live in the city NEVER COME HERE. Went twice (thought I would give it one more chance), second time was for new years. It is the worst club in New York!!!! And I will list why. 1. Bouncers are F**** A*****. 2. Smallest club without room to even move in. There's 3 floors in the entire small place. - Top floor your are not allowed in. - Bottom floor in back, you are not allowed in. - Smallest of the floors, and in the front where it's crowded as can be, ... not a place you would ever want to be allowed in... 3. If you like to dance? Too bad no dance floor. 4. Even spoke to the manager, and he actually told me to f*** off. Reason being, I had spent 200 per person with friends for a table, and they gave us a table with about 3 seats. We had 8 people. The biggest rip off I have ever been dealt. 5. Saw a guy standing in line for the bathroom, for no reason WHAT SO EVER, he was grabbed by the neck, put in to a strangle hold. and dragged out of the club. Even if there was a reason, it shouldnt have been like that. This place should be sued. 6. Bathroom was absolutely grotesque, with maybe the meanest bathroom attendant in existance, who just sits there doesnt give you a towel to dry your hands and Actually demands a tip!!! and if you do give him a tip? He asks why you didn't give him more. Anyways this place needs to be put out of existance. I dont recommend going to this place ever in your life. Avoid like the plague. That is all

Dig this space, which effortlessly transforms from a coffeehouse into a club, Was here on a recent Saturday for a private party in the back room, and it was a fabulous venue. The drinks were strong, pours by the glass generous, and the food was surprisingly good (espy the bacon wrapped dates). I'd highly recommend this place for just about anything---catching up with a friend over a latte, a first date with drinks, a clubby atmosphere to meet friends on a Saturday. And best of all, the management are extremely accommodating, and receptive to feedback. In a neighborhood where I'm often hardpressed to find a decent bar (when I don't want divey, trannies, or Indian food), this plate fits the bill. You can't go wrong.

Remedy on Friday nights is the place to be for some good deep, soulful house. You can usually get reduced cover ($5) passes every time you leave the club, so the $20 cover is a one-time burdon. Some may be turned off by the music and/or the latin percussion section, but I find it really enjoyable. A note on the percussionists: depending on what night you go its either drunken idiots (me) bangin away on a conga or a team of highly skilled, and completely in-time percussionistos furiously adding complexity in synergy with the beats provided by the DJ. A perfect San Francisco house music experience is starting at DNA and finishing at the Endup the next morning.
