by a. s. on pretty sure some of their lanes are not level. Ambience is whatever. It's what you'd expect from a bowling alley with a dress code. They have bouncers at the door so make sure to bring an ID. the food is really good, and they do have some nice cocktail options. it's what it is.
by Dayna Portnoff on Is it rude or politically incorrect to say I felt like I was in Africa when I was here? Hopefully that comes out good, because this place was fun fun fun! My friends and I came here last night and it was packeddddd. The music was awesome (I would much rather dance to music like this instead of that crap hip hop they play in Downtown San Jose clubs), and the people there were friendly. It was about 10 degrees hotter, tiny, and perfect for when you're drunk and looking for some fun sweaty dancing with friends. =) Don't bring your guy friends here. Only come with the girls. 07.30.2010 - Update about the Food I came here about a week ago for dinner. I had no idea they served food here! I've just gone to Bissap Baobab! Anyway, I got the salmon baked in spinach and it was a very well cooked salmon (as in they did a good job). The outside was completed crispy while the inside was still juicy and tender. MmmM! Saltiness was perfect, mashed potatoes were normal. I was just mainly impressed with the fish. I'd come back for the food if I were in the mood for Senegalese food. Very decently priced, but portions may be a little small for boys that are big eaters (my guy friend said he didn't get enough food). If you're coming with a large group, make reservations! The place is small--surprisingly smaller than you think! I really don't know how they fit all those people in there when it becomes a dance club!
by AJ M. on when i used to live in nob hill, this was *hands down* my favorite dive bar in the area. the crowd is great, too. both young hipsters and old bears join in and play pool, and listen to rad music (especially on the weekends... the dj's are surprisingly awesome!) also a great place to pre-game before going out to a club. beware of the regulars though. they're hysterical!
