by Brian H. on Saturday night review - MUSIC: If you like house music, you must check this place out. The main floor was playing house music all night and the sound system isn't the greatest but it is LOUD. From 11-12ish, the first DJ was playing all the house hits you'd expect and then the later DJ started playing more dirty house/dubstep stuff which was interesting to experience at a club. The music selection probably depends on the DJ but we ran into one of the owners later and he said they pretty much play the same type of music every Saturday. There's a downstairs area playing top 40 but it's pretty dark, murky, gross, and why waste time there when you got awesome music upstairs. Oh and you have the super bright light machine thing up front that blinds you when the smoke comes out. LINE: Guest list ends at 11pm and we got there around 10:40 so the line was super long. We didn't want to wait so we paid the bouncer to let our group in which was still cheaper than paying $20 cover. DRINKS: Drinks were $10-15 for the usual cocktails and shots. The bartender we had poured way more than a shot into my vodka redbull and it tasted more like vodka on the rocks than anything, which in terms of taste was terrible but it the alcohol content made it worth it. I'd suggest getting the Coronas for $5 though. CROWD: From the looks of the crowd, it seemed like most people were new to house music on the main floor in a club. There was a pretty good mix of asians, whites, black, and quite a few indians. I was concerned there might be a lot of ghetto people since someone was killed here a few weeks previous, but it wasn't that much worse than any other club. 5 stars for GREAT music, cheap drink options, a cheap guest list if you can make it in time..and umm playing Afrojack multiple times :)
by Darryl Bitsko on I was impressed with the Golden Temple. I expected it to be like Kowloon judging from the outside, but it was actually quite good. I loved that they had the option for steamed pot stickers (so many places will only fry them) and they had this spicy eggplant dish that I used to get at many Chinese restaurants when I lived outside of San Francisco, but I've had a hard time finding here. Everything was tasty and fresh and I have enough leftover for lunch tomorrow. Service was good and our glasses of water never got less than half full. Their menu is broad and has plenty of healthy food options.
by Devon F. on I saw a prog rock show here. The sound quality was not that bad, however the atmosphere was a little flashy for what i am used to which is why i gave this place a 4 star. However the staff are super down to earth, they really know how to joke around and laugh with you. With that said, they do take it seriously if u give them a hard time. Everyone at the show was, for the most part, laid back and respectable so the night was smooth and great. Plus when you leave you get to see these huge statues that are pritty sweet. AND almost forgot, there seems to be this chill blues/jazz bar under it (haven't really got into that kind of stuff yet) which seemed really cool
