Horrible food; horrible service; Sushi was stale tasting; they tack on 18% gratuity for anything and everything that you order, even if you are ordering drinks only at the bar. Never going back.

Sometimes I don't even know why I bother with getting on guest lists at clubs anymore.  They all pull the same stunt of making people line up until 10:30PM (when guest list closes) and then charging you to get into the club.  What was the point of me calling or emailing you my friends' names then?  And of course when you actually get into the club, it's still relatively empty even though there is a huge crowd outside.  Who the heck came up with this genius plan anyway to make a club look "happening" or whatever it is the young kids call it these days.  Yeah, I sound like a bitter old person and I'm not even 25 yet! With that said, My House is actually a pretty decent club with a very spacious design and un-douchey staff.  I've been to other clubs where the bouncers and promoters think they walk on water or something and just treat you like shiet.  The promoters here actually look you in the eye and speak to you with respect.  They let my friend in for free cuz we told them we were celebrating her bday a week early.  Other places might have just been like, "Psssh, come back next week and I will let you in for free".  Anyway, the main dance floor is huge and there are several places to order drinks from.  It got really crowded though around 12:30AM and I had to go upstairs and just people watch for 10 minutes.  There is actually a bar up in this area so if the two bars downstairs get too crazy, try your luck upstairs. I didn't know this, but apparently in the outdoor patio area, there is a guy who gives out free bacon-wrapped hot dogs in exchange for tip.  I thought you had to pay for that stuff and didn't want to spend more money at the club.  BLAH, I missed out on some hot dogs! Another plus about My House is that they are situated right next to a $5 parking lot.  Yes, you heard me, $5.  I thought I was going crazy when the guy managing the huuuuge structure told me that it was a $5 flat rate until 3AM (when the structure close). Overall, I am a fan of My House.  Friendly staff, good parking situation, free bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and large dance floors make it a good club to go to.  One negative thing though is that the sound system is waaay too loud.  Maybe my ears are too sensitive, but when everyone I know leaves the club screaming, "I can't hear anything" you know things might have been TOO LOUD inside.  Or I guess some people would call this a good time.

This bar makes the best bloody mary I have ever had, hands down! It was the perfect blend of spicy, salty, and strong!  I had quite a few that night, which made my cameo role in a drag show even easier.  The garnishes included the best pickled green beans I have ever had, pickled pearl onions, and big juicy green olives.  I was in heaven, and couldn't stop gushing about how perfect the drinks were, so the owner, or manager gave me an entire bottle of their bloody mary mix to take home with me.  How sweet is that? Until you can go yourself to taste one of their lovely drinks, check out mine: http://www.flickr.com/... The people were easy-going, kind, funny, and warm.  The drinks were stiff, and the location was ideal.  Even though I walked away with the best bloody mary mix in town, I will definitely back so they can mix one  (or five) up for me.
