by Santina Popat on This joint gets stars for the atmosphere. I came here for a birthday over the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed all of the glitz and glamour it had to offer. Sparkly sombreros lined the ceiling, and it kind of makes you feel as though you've entered a Mexican restaurant, slash Elvis-ville, slash the Godfather sort of establishment. The food however, is another story. We started with red chips and a trio of dips (bean dip, salsa, and green dip). All were very good--particularly the bean dip. I ordered ahi tuna tacos, and another friend ordered chicken tamales, which I sampled. Either were impressive. The caipirinha I drank was very nice...but again, nothing too out of the ordinary. All in all, I think that it's very much about the atmosphere here.
by Dorothy S. on Not the best place for some one on one time with a good friend(s) or a significant other. However, it's a really a good place to watch a game or play pool. I did eat there (well, it was on the company, anyway) and had their beef stroganoff, which was pretty good not spectacular. I went here for a team building event at work and it seems this place serves its purpose for corporate parties than anything else. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to rub elbows with suits and/or college students trying to step up and out of their local dive bar.
