I've wanted to hit this place for a long time and it's a good thing I finally went last night on a Monday night and it was wild. Went in for the $2 dollar well drinks and ended up getting doubles for $4 for a good drink. Atef is a nice guy bartender, fortunately Matt came in to help and he's the one that pours the better drink - not crazy, just a well made cocktail. Then we met the band players from MUNT - yes that's the band name of the year and these guys were not Only awesome on stage, but also just a freaking blast to hang out with and drink. That quick stop at 630 turned into a whole night leaving BLITZKRIEGED at midnight. Fantastic!!

Post-poned my bday party to 8/2 for Soul Slam 2008! Last year, it was held at Mighty...and it was packed and parti-licious. I had never been to the Mezzanine before but I was excited to hear it was a big space because Soul Slam was PACKED at Mighty last year. Considering it was a golden birthday, (when your bday and age you're turning are the same # aka turning 23 on the 23rd...) I decided to reserve a table upstairs and with help from my friends, we got a bottle of patron (blom blom blom!) The place is very big and it looked so pimped upstairs at our table. The couches were super comfy and we had the balcony to overlook the dance floor. There's like...a weird mink backdrop where the couches are...I think it's supposed to make the booth sexy or something. I think the event that night really made my night...no matter where it's at...SOUL SLAM IS THE BEST! MICHAEL JACKSON and PRINCE ... can't get any better! Plus, they were playing music videos on 2 big screens on the main dance floor. Upstairs is also a mini dance floor where another DJ was spinning. Really nice space and a treat to have a place to ourselves and seats! I had a good time. SOUL SLAM 2008 rocked the house & I blame it on the boogie :) Ready for 2009.

This is a non-starter for me. I just received an e-mail inviting me to Parish's Farm to Table Dinner and tried to put in a reservation. After being hung up on once, then being put on hold, I was informed that the last space for the dinner had evaporated. Eh, maybe they'll work out their service kinks, but I'd advise waiting a few months.
