- Let's go to Bruno's next! - Cool, that's the place with the stripper poles! - Stripper poles? - Yeah, they've got stripper poles there! - I've been there a bunch of times and I've never seen stripper poles! - Yes, they do! Wanna bet?! - Sure, but I'll feel bad taking your money! Well, turns out they at least have stairs that lead to a room where they supposedly have stripper poles, so I wouldn't know. And I won't pay up until I actually see said room! This conversation took place when a bunch of friends from work ended our recent Mission pub crawl. We got in late and only the back room was serving drinks. They were playing some great Reggaton (which I normally don't like) and we got loose on the dance floor. Good times as usual with this group! But I've come to Bruno's a handful of times now and I've been wavering about the rating for this place. This first and most recent visits were a lot of fun (probably because of the company I kept) but the other times there were a bunch of rude "pop-yo-colla" dudes around jostling around the bar and the whole vibe was a bit off. Just seemed like people were taking themselves a little too seriously on those visits. Guess I've gone in at right times cause I have yet to pay a cover and I do like the stylish interior so more like 3 1/2 stars overall.

This place has a lot of Asians and white dudes dating Asian girls.  Nothing wrong w/the demographic, I'm just sayin'.  It did feel like more of an under 25 crowd though, so if you're pushing the 30-somethings, you might feel a little old. A friend from NJ took me here when I was in the City, and it was fun to experience a little NYC nightlife.  The music was so-so, but it was fun watching people from the balcony area upstairs.  Other than that, it's not a bad place to come if you wanna get your swerve on on a Fri/Sat night. I have no idea what the banana hammock reviews are about, but I'm glad we didn't go that night.
