I can see why the reviews sway from great time to a waste of time and fellow rateclubers I'm going with the great time crowd! I was smiling from the moment we walked in and were greeted with "hello sluts" to Scotty the Blue Bunny explaining physics to us between courses to the finale of a stripping drag queen (( spoiler alert )) pouring milk all over himself while Xmas music blared. Enjoy!

What I really like about Austin's airport is that they have the local eateries in the terminal area, so you can have a last taste of what you liked in town. I wasn't a fan of Amy's (sorry Amy), but I was happy I could order the $9.95 Sliced Beef Brisket Sandwich with Potato Salad. That's because I could correct an inadvertent error I made when ordering the brisket in Driftwood. I forgot to say "moist, please". It made a huge difference because I now understand why the Man vs. Food guy was salivating about it. Of course, he salivates about everything he eats. It came between a soft sesame seed roll, and the meat was incredibly tender and savory. It amounted to the perfect ending to our trip to Austin since Jamie W. and I knew our salad days were ahead of us...literally. We ate so much good "bad" stuff on our road trip from New Orleans to Austin that our stomachs felt lined with asbestos at that point. But the Salt Lick brisket was worth the price, dammit. FOOD - 5 stars...just a sandwich with incredibly tasty BBQ brisket AMBIANCE - 2.5 stars...it's the airport after all SERVICE - 2 stars...unlike the Driftwood folks, kinda surly TOTAL - 5 stars...it's really about the lasting memory of that sandwich

I've had plenty o' drunk fun at Eleven! Me & 2 of my friends had our bday parties there even! As far as service goes it's usually OK but some bartenders have been a bit on the snobby side. As far as eating: the brunch menu is good & they keep the mimosas pouring! That said- the helper/waiter guys have been nice. When it comes to the regular menu I've only had the "chicken strips" which AREN'T what you think at all: they're just a cat-food size portion of unfried chicken lengths on top of foofoo coleslaw. Not bad- but small & overpriced. Makes me hesitant to try the other stuff. So I just stick to the liquor. Despite it being high-class in some respects Eleven still maintains the tacky traditions of weho (ie. shirtless bartenders & GoGo Boys dancing to loud music ;) The Patio is nice & the (UniSex) Bathrooms are big & clean. The themes are always fun & I like the 2 lounge singers- both Doug (wed) & Irene (thurs) are talented & friendly. So yeah, I like it here- but really just cuz it's where I've spent so many crazy times with my friends :D
