by Rob Marrion on Pros: Great food (salmon + mac & cheese was delicious), nice atmosphere and decor, parking was relatively easy to find Cons: space is tiny, lighting way too low. I appreciate an intimate setting but I had a hard time reading the menu. Overall this is mid-priced, not too expensive but not cheap. The food is quite good, if you are ordering steak be very very specific about how you want it cooked.
by Jane a. on ONCE UPON A YEARS AGO... (i believe this is the place) I came here when someone rented this place out for a night to throw their event. I was with this guy and his sister was all about these underground scenes you can only go if you were invited. I came here for my first time because of the invite. This dive-bar turned into a little fashion show/activist movement night. The scene was cool. The drinks was strong. All i remember was running out of the bar, drunk, emotional, and my friends chased me down and found me a few blocks away sitting on someones doorsteps crying. I guess the drinks did its job. LOL
by Quinn S. on Must suck to be you. I was at Supperclub for the last rateclub Elite event, including dinner, and it was brilliant. Yeah, dinner took longer than it should have, so it sucked (as mentioned above) to be trapped waiting by the bar, but I wasn't, and so had a fantastic experience. The hostess HOOKED US UP with the great corner spot for six, and then came over to tell us that she got to decide who sat where and we were (barely) deemed worthy of one of the two best tables in the house. Yeah, it was pretentious, but a backhanded compliment I suppose, and she laid with us for a while and chatted. Our server, Big-star-painted-on-his-eye-and-fishnet-sleeves-gu y, was very sweet, attentive and even apologetic when things got hectic. Others complained that the restaurant was too slow getting out the food, but I don't know what show they had tickets for. We were in for the night, and I like a leisurely-paced five-course meal, and the dishes ranged from very good to superb. Call me inconsiderate, but I was glad that the riffraff were held at bay a while longer so those of us wise enough to reserve early could relax and gloat. I am also the sort of person who will eat anything (except veal), so the totally set menu just saved me the mental strain of ordering. Portions were substantial, meat was seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection (drooling as I reminisce) and the other courses and accompaniments were divine as well. The guitar player and breakdancers were a fun distraction, and the intimacy of the setting made it a very comfortable place to get to know friends of friends at the table and the folks on either side of us. Some were complaining about the lines at the bar, but Caitlin D. hit the bar at the busiest times and came back with our (mediocre) vodka sodas within 90 seconds. Then again, She is Caitlin D. rateclub events at Supperclub are five star occasions. Period.
