It's true: they did it. They take credit and ATM cards now. They even have their wireless hooked up. And I agree, best clam chowder I've had in Austin, good sammiches with excellent bread. The breakfast sandwich is delicious and served on a croissant. The coffee is my version of heaven on earth!

I came here for restaurant week with my friend about a month ago. Since this is a Stephan Starr restaurant, I was expecting something REALLY, REALLY, RIDICULOUSLY GOOD but it was just a little bit better than average. When I first walked in, it was insanely dark, the only light sources came from candles. So the hostess led us through the place, which albeit dark, was beautiful. High ceilings, flowing drapes, a wall of just candles....so all that good stuff. And then we sat down and I just remember thinking all through out dinner that the seat was ridiculously low and far from the table... Anyways, onto the food. So we ordered things from the prefix menu and then got a separate (platter) appetizer. We go the half sized one and it was HUGE. It took us about an hour and a half to finish the entire thing, I kid you not. There were a couple of good things on the platter like the hummus and cheese and meat, but everything else wasn't that great. The not so great things you can probably get it somewhere else for much cheaper. And then we went onto our prefix appetizers - options that I don't think they serve on a regular basis. Those appetizers were alright but got bland real fast. Same for the entree and for the dessert. The food just wasn't amazing. 3.5 stars really for attentive service and decor

Wow.. all these horrible reviews.. I'm actually surprised and a little disappointed no one else seemed to have had a good time. Most complaints are about the 10 dollar drinks? The admission is 15, so I'm sure you honestly weren't thinking drinks were 5 bucks.. But, how is this different from any other club in Boston? how much is a vodka redbull at Venu or Rumor? Same shit. I celebrated my 23rd birthday at Estate last night and it was a friggin blast. The GM is the nicest guy in the world and bent over backward to accommodate me and 20 other people that attended. The staff was so courteous and helpful, I was shocked. Usually most bouncers and staff at clubs suck but here they were awesome here. So, I didn't get a chance to see a lot of rich wannabees, nor did i see anything that resembled a meat market with sleazy guys tryin to pick up trashy broads. I went on a Friday night and the vibe is very European and the music is all house with no vocals. If rent out the circle room upstairs, which is what I did, you have your own private waitress that sits in there with you and pours your drinks and ours was extra nice. Overall I have to give 5 stars because there was not a single complaint from me or my guests and all i heard all night was how much fun everyone had and how great the place was. I'd def recommend this place for a birthday on a Friday night but with first talking to Harry, The GM.
