My friend called to reserve a table for our party, when we got there the lady said she didn't even have our name on the list and that she couldn't arrange for a table. At 5pm you'll find the older crowd; around 8pm the ladies in dresses start rolling in. Apart from that, I think that making a place like this that caters to people who live down south and would otherwise have to drive long distances ( usually intoxicated) is a great concept. It's a local lounge encouraging near home inebriation, and I'm all for that.

Perfect for special occasion dinners: go in a party dress (preferrably something with sequins and/or a metallic lining) and without a budget and you'll have a fabulous evening. STK and its staff are gorgeous, food delicious, drinks potent and pricey.  Friends and I have ordered and loved the tuna tartare and scallop ceviche apps - I would pass on the shrimp rice krispies.  When sharing appetizers and sides, the filet medallion is a perfect entree.  The parmesan truffle fries are a MUST: my one friend wakes up in night sweats over them. In terms of cocktails, pass on the gin fizz and go for the white orchid or tempest storm. Finish the night by trying to get into tenjune.

Pretty space, good attention to detail as far as nightclubs go, such as pull out drawers under the seating at reserved tables to stash pocketbooks, etc...GREAT idea, especially for what it costs to reserve a table at these places. Lots of hype still surround Marquee, so it's not easy to get in. Was there recently for a holiday party and the entire NY Ranger team was there. It's NYCnightlife, so you ought to know what you are getting yourself into. Marquee is certainly not reinventing the club "wheel" but it's a fun place nonetheless.
