First of all, my main recommendation is that you should know someone at this club before going ie. a promoter. Once you know a promoter you don't have to pay the cover charge which can be pricy( more than 20 bucks). Decor: The club is beautiful, high ceilings, nice decor, chandeliers and all that jazz. Music: When we entered around 12:30 downstairs had the techno music, while the mezzanine level had the Hip/Hop, top 40's , some reggae and reggaeton (not enough for my taste). Service: I know Bottle Service is the main way clubs make their money, but I don't appreciate how the people who get bottle service like to invade in other people's private area just because their bill is over 100's of dollars. Every body who has a table buys at least 2 bottles depending on the requirement, but there were definitely big egos in this club and that irked my nerves. The vibe: It was definitely crowded, but nothing out of the ordinary. The only other thing that bothered me was the darn line for the bathroom. There was only one stall for men and one for women upstairs, both of which were guarded by a monitor in front of a velvet curtain. The damn line for the ladies was ridiculous and there were hardly any men going, so I had to ask him to let us use the men's room so we could cut down on the line. I just thought that was silly to just have one stall for each. This club is too big for that.

Still one of the best places to hear live music from lesser know artist. Fridays are my favorite. You can dance all night to the pulse of Latin and Caribbean music. The bar makes generous drinks. The food is pretty good for a late night snack. They have a coat check which is very useful in the winter.

The Sky Lounge is a pretty cool place, or at least it used to be. I haven't been in a while, but back when the place opened, they had a bit of a "Hollywood in Austin" thing going. Velvet rope with a line behind it...dance floor with lots of lasers and fog and lights...nice decor....good looking bartenders....a VIP section....multiple bars. Not a bad place to put on a nice set of clothes and hit the town. That said, last time I was there the faux-exclusivity angle was gone. Charging a cover will tend to do that around here.
