Great view and lunch spot, if you dont want to wait or a crowd. Your paying for a great Miami location. The food is good, ask for "grilled" instead of the typical Cuban way " ala plancha." which is greasy. Drinks and coffee are always great..

Little Baobab = reliably danceable. Why is this important? Because there's nothing worse than wanting to get down on a Saturday in San Francisco without a car. What it boils down to is one shot (unless your date/friends/whoever is a trooper/drunk/gullible) and that one shot needs to be right. As said previously, Little Baobab is small, hot, and cramped. The DJ's selections are hot and cold: sometimes ol' boy is on the money, sometimes (between the less-than-graceful crossfade and the hopeless attempt at beat syncronization) you'll have to work twice as hard to keep your groove . . . provided you dance to the groove. Actually, here's a PSA for all you Little Baobab regulars: please, PLEASE dance in the groove. If you actually have to stop and think on whether or not you danced in the groove, YOU DIDN'T DANCE IN THE GROOVE. Your sharp elbows, heavy feet, and awkward bodies make it hard on those who can sufficiently control more than 30% of their body mass. Little Baobab is one of the cooler spots to go to in SF. Great to dance. Great, diverse (diversity = important!) crowd. Great also if you're looking to be proposed to by a random Senegalese man, ladies, as mentioned earlier.

Ok. I've been to this place twice now, and it's just not that good (for seeing a live DJ). Here's why: The sound system is average, but all speakers are pointed inwards towards a 15x15 ft dance floor. There's plenty of room outside the dance floor, but it sounds like crap because of the angle of the speakers. As a result, everyone crowds in towards the actual floor, and it gets too hot and annoying to dance. The decor is all over the place. There are all these disco balls and alcohol miniatures and random s***, I don't know what they're trying to do. I don't know if they're trying to set a vibe, but if they are, it didn't come across very well. The good news is that given how crowded the place was, it was still easy to get a drink. The bartenders were quick and friendly. OH YEAH, I ordered an Amstel Lite, and it was SKUNKY. It was old bad beer. Watch out. I don't think I'll come back for a big party. If it's a lesser known DJ I'l consider it...otherwise, too crowded. Goodnight.
