by Brad N. on Stopped into the Red House on Saturday evening for some drinks with friends. One of our party had been to the Red House last summer for drinks, before it was a Pizzeria, and loved the atmosphere. We returned and felt the same. We sat in the bar area, in what we knew as the "original" Red House. The decor is an omage to 1950's cowboys. Was great place to sit down and enjoy some beers and margaritas with friends. The patio wasn't too popular, since it was a bit chilly out. But they had heaters (not turned on though) and even scattered blankets to wrap yourself in as well. In the hour or so we were there, the place went from barely occupied to packed. It obviously has a following, so be ware to get there early. Then again it may have been that no one wanted to sit outside in the cold.

( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...) for halloween, we decided to do the hollywood thing since we got comp tix thru my work for the highlands. we had never spent halloween in hollywood before.... and hmmm.. we probably never will again. traffic was totally insane, parking was horrendous, and even walking to the club was a nightmare. it felt like a crowded club just tryin to walk the streets. i have been to this venue a few times before. i like that there are lots of areas to chill so you don't feel so damn crowded. the main dance floor is by the front with a few doorways to the patio where the smokers are. there is also a bar in the patio which is always a big plus! if you walk a little further in, you'll find two more dance floors, another bar, and another patio area. the other patio area is where you'll usually find me and the girls hanging out. music was cool, crowd was ok, halloween in hollywood?? eh! be cautious when walking back to your car late at night. my friends and i had a little incident with some loser pulling a knife on us. i heard there was a murder in hollywood that night....that so could've been us!
