by Lily T. on Not a fan of this place. Lines are always terribly long for some reason. Not a big fan of the music they play here. The place is a bit too dark for me. I like clubs that's a little bit lighter so you can see people. They have 3 rooms in the club. One main one when you walk in, and they mostly play dance music, the red room mostly plays hip hop and upstairs is a mixed of different kinds of music. The crowd is mostly white. And the drinks here are way overpriced. 10 dollars for a beer, 14 dollars for a simple vodka cranberry. Will not come back to this place unless for a event or bday.
by Exclusive C. on This is my top pick for ATL nightlife. I've been to several clubs since moving here a few years ago and when all else fails, I know I can count on Velvet Fridays. It is the absolute best. My gals and I skip the long lines with incentives for the VIP $20 entry. The bartenders are generous with the liquor and Tayrock from V103 spins the Hip Hop/R&B hits on Fridays, which is the only day I'll go. There isn't much seating (unless you pay for a table), but I can't see myself sitting in such an atmosphere, I literally dance ALL night. Velvet Room is a sure shot for a grand night of fun. Every time a friend or relative comes in from out of town they want me to take them there. Parking is free and the atmosphere is fab here. People from all ages and backgrounds having a great time. I love it!
by Trent Standerwick on Yum Yum Yum Yummy is the only way to describe STK the Steaks are super good, the appetizers are even better...The Apple Crap cake salad is to die for, huge chunks of fresh kind crab with a lime dressing with fresh cantalope slices and some greens are a refreshing take on a normally not so surprising dish...the Tuna ceviche is also a refreshing palate starter...just the right amount of tuna and seasoning to give you a great taste of the freshness of the ingredients used but not overwhelme you with the lime and seasonings traditionally used in ceviche.... The ambience alone is worth the price of the food, if going for the food was not good enough for you. It has this awesome bar with what looks like shark ribs on the walls, lux couches, impeccable servers, and although a bit pricey for the drinks, the mohitoes and mixed drinks here are a SMASH!!! Great place for entertaining, not a very quiet place though, gets uber crowded...I wouldn;t take a 1st date here but I would go with clients or friends, cuz it can get a bit crowded and noisy
