by Garett N. on Not sure if things have changed, but I came here on a Thursday night and it was absolutely quiet. The roof top bar barely had anyone around and they had last call at 11:30 pm. Oh well. Times have changed, I guess.
by Alexa g. on Ok, so this is my 3rd time to Cosmo Lava, and each time I have enjoyed myself. The different rooms and levels give you opportunity to escape crazy men, if need be. The bartenders are quick, efficient, and pour a strong drink. The eye candy and crowd was definitely better on a Friday night in my opinion. They have large areas for dancing as well as patio areas if you need to step out and have a conversation away from the crowd. The cover was originally $10 a piece ,but we ended up paying that for both of us. Parking around there is a bit tricky, there is one parking attendant that advertises a $4 rate.. but beware that price is only for an hour..so park in the $7 lot next to it!
by Ricardo Lupfer on Came here for Faux Pas a while back. Maybe I got there too early but it was painfully awkward. I've never been in such a crowded place that felt so divided. There was a DJ but no one was dancing and it took twenty minutes to get a drink at the bar. There was an invisible line dividing the after-work crowd and hipsters that came for the event. Cover was expensive ($10 i think?) but the drinks were cheap. I ended up leaving early and eventually ended up at the old Barbary. This was a while back but some of my friends are heading there tonight so I thought I'd write a review.
