Interesting scene here. The club itself was very crowded and sweaty. I could almost feel the humidity when I walk inside. Towards the back there is a pretty swanky dance floor with a disco ball that that brings back nostalgia as to what this place would have been like in the 60s. It does have a bit of color, but I found it a bit uncomfortable due to the crowd.

Can somebody (JEREMY "BIG POPPA" S.) please make club / lounge reviews filterable by the day / theme? If you think you can just give Hiro one rating and that Base NYC Fridays are the same as Cuckoo Club Sundays (let alone Skool Saturday), then you're retarded. And if you already were retarded before you thought that, then congratulations, you've outsmarted my comment. (This review and rating is for Friday nights.) I completely sympathize with the gripes about the $20 cover, pretentious door policy, and expensive drinks (no long islands, what??), but that's all standard club in a big city business. Same with the assclowns who try really hard to project an image that they are the fucking shit, girls included. But it's something that you and I probably have both been guilty of in the past, so I'd let it go. And Cindy C., are you seriously complaining about the aerial dancers? I know they're bad, but did you honestly think that it was going to be Cirque du Soleil? Base's party at Hiro has long been an Asian party standby for my friends and I, as the music consistently makes you want to get down (I think DJ NVM and DJ Tommy Virtue rotate on the wheels these days), the venue has a legit floor, and the crowd is relatively pleasing. Sure there may be hotter spots and better parties, but if you're looking to rock some Asians and have a good time, you can't go too wrong coming here.

I love Miami and I love my Miami peeps!! (Yes, Jenny and Travis, I'm talkin' to you!) I have never stood in a line to get into a club. I can't remember the last time I had to pay for a drink. We're always dancing our asses off with either the promoter, owner or combination of both. Sometimes there's a professional athlete in the mix or a Pussycat Doll or Kendra from the Girls Next Door. Whomever we're with and wherever we are, it's always a blast. We came here in April and when we went back in December, it was still happening. I love the hip-hop upstairs, but it can get pretty stuffy and hot up there. If you like house/techno, the main room downstairs rocks! That's where I go for the after party. This is how we roll....
