by Fred T. on The space is set in the lobby which has an incredibly high ceiling. There is couch seating to the southern wall and tables and chairs in the rest of the space. In the evenings there often is someone playing the guitar and singing. It isn't too loud or too bad. They have a good cocktail menu and can mix a very good cocktail. The prices are typical for a good hotel bar with cocktails in the $12-15 range. I've ordered cocktails where they bring an overly full shaker and shake-n-pour at the table. I find this gauche and annoying. There is a small menu of food with items such as crab cakes, tuna, sandwiches and salads. Their food is very good. It never gets terribly crowded and it isn't ever too noisy. The service is very good. This bar is a great place to have cocktails, a snack and a conversation. The Culver Pacific 12 is right next door as well.
by Hsiu Goich on Very nice place and that's it! Minx has totally lost it's crowd it used to pull in about a year ago. You can tell because they now hold the line until ridiculous hours and only let an equal ratio of guys to girls. Why is that? Because no one (girls) wants to go anymore. It is turning into the new Century club. Let us not forget the rude staff at Minxs... Open your eyes, its not a celebrity club or anything along those lines. Don't waste your time checking out this club!
by Carla C. on Harlot, don't believe the bad stuff people are saying behind your back (hell, even to your face). You're one sexy hunting lodge/bar and you know it. Yeah, people have said you're hard to get into, but I sauntered right in, no line, no cover (for the ladies). And your staff? They're lovely and mix some pretty great drinks. It's natural for people to complain about your VIP mezzanine out of jealousy, but I loved your sultry white leather couches and tables with pictures of be-animal'd ladies on them. While your music turned a bit trashy near the end of the night and your art wasn't all that inspired, you drew a crowd ranging from their 20s to 50s and kept them pretty darn happy until closing. Good on you.
