I love Top Chef, so I had to stop by Flip Burger during my weekend trip to ATL. Both the restaurant exterior and interior are very hip and contemporary. The atmosphere is lively with an acceptable noise level from the music and surrounding diners. I got the Korean BBQ burger and the Crab Flip burger. The Korean BBQ burger was absolutely delicious. I wish I had ordered two of those rather than 1 of each. The braised short rib was cooked to medium perfection and was extremely tender. The kimchee ketchup added a touch of sweetness while the sesame krispies added a nice crunch. Awesome burger. The Crab burger was good but not the best. They definitely gave a good amount of jumbo lump crab in the burger, which I appreciated, but it seemed slightly dry. However, the brussel slaw and sour apple & mustard seed caviar toppings were awesome complements to the crab. I also tried the parmesan zucchini fries, which were good, but nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the hand cut french fries - fried and crisped to salty perfection. I topped off the meal with a nutella & burnt marshmallow shake. The burnt marshmallows were delicious, but the shake was a little too thick. Not very conducive to drinking with a straw. I also tried the rice krispy and pineapple upside down shakes, neither of which I'd ever order again.

Overcrowded, overpriced, overrated. I did have fun dancing until the DJ started playing terrible music. If you are impressed by being in the same club as Lindsay Lohan and enjoy paying $18 for a drink, then this place is for you. If you could care less, let's go somewhere else.

oh god. i went here for a birthday party and got this strange feeling of dejavu, and it occurred to me that i have in fact been there before, and that it was one of those places i vowed i'd NEVER go to again cuz it sucks major ass. the music was awful (although i am a hip-hop snob) and i swear, all the guys here are all under 5'6" and i just don't go there. forgettable. never again. blech. i shudder in repulsion just thinking about it
