Traffic School near Bundy in the Westside was the best thing to happen a year or so ago. Thats when I saw SF Saloon. Didnt go in that day during our lunch break, but kept it in mind. Having lived in SF for many years, I wondered how it would stack up to bars there and being called SF Saloon in LA, whats up with that anyway? So glad I gave it a go. Anchor Steam on tap, great food and the ambience is very similar to that of The Connecticut Yankee in San Franciscos Potrero Hill District. Good Happy Hour prices for pints o beer and a discount on bar foods like nachos and soft tacos. Ive been fortunate to meet great people from all over the country there and its a bonus talking to folks here that have lived in SF and love the city. Sundays for 49ers games are crazy so get there at 930am if its an early game! It gets packed and loud!

The only reason I am giving Trudy's 2 stars is for the migas and drinks. This is one of the most overrated places in Austin! I've tried to like them, I've tried to mix up the food and get something different every single time. Every single time, I'm highly disappointed. Every dish I've ever ordered lacked something and really, it's just an overrated tourist trap.

Crowd: you definitely have to check their website, sometimes it can be a house party, other times an all asian event (expect ENORMOUSLY LONG lines for asian events). Cover is usually 20 unless ur on a guestlist or show up incredibly early. Drinks: BOooooooooooo no bombs allowed here, wtf how am I going to drink a silverback? The venue: 2 bars upstairs that are usually packed with drunk girls trying to get their attention and drunk guys trying to get drunk girls more drunk. two bars downstairs which is usually calmer but usually less bartenders working. Coat check is like 5 bucks maybe more, usually an extra 10-15 minutes waiting in that line. Upstairs they have some nice sofa type couches where u can witness the main dancefloor. Sometimes closed off for only bottle service patrons. During asian events, main floor is hip hop, downtairs they have house music, and hip hop also.
