by Catherine S. on Any fan of Sex in the City will appreciate the glamorous feel of this larger than life restaurant. This is the perfect place to take visiting guests because it packs a huge 'wow' factor with really good food. The bar area is the sort of dark, crowded place you expect to see at any loungy establishment - comfy seats and people watching make the short wait for your reservation enjoyable. The drinks are well-sized and well-mixed - if you like a nice cocktail, this place is for you. Also, no puny little cups here - you get a good value (for NYC). The dishes are to be eaten family style. The miso cod/sea bass is a standout on the menu. The venue is high energy and a little loud, but it's perfect to kick off a night out. Make reservations on http://opentable.com, they allow you to make large party reservations as well online. Very convenient!

The phoneys are limited because the heat in this joint will drive out all the people that are afraid to get sweaty and melty. Ladies don't come in here with your best face of makeup, that shit will be running down your face in 10 mins. No one will have perfect hair or perfect cloths, everything will be sweated out. And you know that's what I like about this place. No air conditioning blowing up girls skirts or hardening of the nipples. Just real people ALL complaining about the same thing. Drinkin Pabst while sitting on the couch looking at some graffiti art on the wall made me feel at a house party which is cool with me. Oh yeah and the girls restroom is BADASS!!!!! This is the way ALL bar bathrooms need to be, roomy!!!
by Jose Siford on With a visionshock event (saturdays) this is most likely the most reliable place for a decent time if 1) your asian, 2) you like asian girls/guys, 3) if you want to drink, dance, and go to an xxx store thats right next door. (i only partake in 1 and 2.) I'm not saying its the best, but with the right company you can definitely experience a decent time. If you get a room for bottle service, I recommend the "poker room" since its cozy, secluded from all the drunk guys trying to hit on your female friends, and it can easily fit about 20 people. But beware, expect to throw down 300 dollars for bottle service and thats just for grey goose and complimentary OJ or cranberry. And yes there are plenty of fobby asian girls here if thats your thing.
