Although it's a smaller space in the winter months, this venue offers a parking lot area adjacent to the entrance, a coat-check option and tickets sold seperately from the door to the inside stamp check. There is a separate 21+over area downstairs with vendors and a tented smoking patio upstairs with the 18+ crowd. There are three bars altogether, DJ spins in smoking area/tented pavilion and a smaller dance floor w/DJ downstairs with a larger dance area (and live performances) upstairs. Friendly staff and decent prices all 'round. Area seating downstairs in a quiet area makes this a great place to catch-up with olde friends.
by Priscilla H. on this place is dead. i went on a saturday night at 12, and there were more people outside than inside. I thought the interior was kind of cool, because there was a dance floor, sitting area, and bar... but it's really no fun when you are the only one... maybe another time.
by Refugio Wolf on The infamous fusion wrap is a problem for me because if I go more than a week without one I start to twitch. The fusion wrap was created one day when Kat's husband was kind enough to combine their chicken wrap with the shrimp wrap. This encounter was truly love at first bite for me. LOL If you live here in Atlanta and have not yet checked out Kat's Cafe, you need to get on it! Kat has a MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com...) and the cafe can be found in the Piedmont Park area. There are $5 martini drink specials on Friday from 5 pm - 9 pm with $8.99 snow crabs and $3 appetizers. In addition, Thursday night at 9 pm there is a live band and Kat even sings from time to time alongside local talent. Two more reasons I love Kat's Cafe is that there is no cover and parking is FREE. I don't know about you, but I am tired of having to break my neck to make it to a particular venue by a pre-determined time in order to not pay a bootleg cover. At the same time, you are more than welcome to work out the details of having a private event. All in all Kat's Cafe is one of my favorite chill spots regardless of the day of the week.
