This place was very nice! Came here for Halloween with a party of 15 and it seemed pretty fun until some people stole my friend's purse. Can't really blame this place for that - but! their dance floor was very packed, considering it was a Halloween weekend, and I saw very few people actually dancing. Everyone was probably just looking at the girl performer. Yes, they have individual dancers on stage.. but they're not exactly goo-goo.. (Go-Go) dancers either. They seem more like performers. Either way, I was hoping for some free tacos because we had table service, but instead we got hot dogs.. meh, I was full anyway. They played some good music, not a lot of trance/house music.. in my opinion was perfect. :D

It's that time of the year again, my good friends birthday. She tells me, we will be going to Hiro. I just thought okay.. another party.. nothing special. Being the good friend I am I will definitely be there. The day comes, me and 2 girlfriends took a cab to Hiro and we went inside to wait for rest of the party to arrive, mm.. nice place I thought to myself, they had good music playing in the background. Great lights, great crowd (mixed) and already at 11 pm there was a floor packed with people dancing. They have a few bars, up stairs (lounge area with an open view of the bottom floor) and down stairs (main dance floor). Plenty of tables if your group wants bottle service. There's a few spots inside Hiro away from the crowd, which are the corners of the bottom floor, the bathroom area (there's comfortable benches where you can sit) and the hallway to exit the club. The signal downstairs is not that great for some reason, just go upstairs if you need to use your phone. During the hours we were there, they had 2 very hot dancers dancing where the DJ was located. Then 2 more performances which was pretty cool, they had 2 girls swinging around in the middle of the club's ceiling, and later on a girl doing fire tricks which is my first time seeing this. I didn't expect to have this much fun here but we had a great time. If you want to go outside for some air don't forget to get a stamp to get back in. They stamped it on my wrist and it had the coolest letters. It's not an ugly X or a dumb smiley face.

I had heard about MJQ, but never knew where it was. Well, now I know why. The entrance is obscure - a rolled up metal garage door facing a side street in a parking lot. Upon entering, you walk down the tunnel to reach this underground club. And what a club it is - water dripping from the ceiling on you when you are on the dance floor (it was a rainy night), there was no door to the ladies room, no soap or papertowels and later in the night, no toilet paper, cash only and sometimes challenging to get a drink. However, they spin great dance music, totally friendly and cool crowd, the break dance room and the overall vibe of this dark club lends to having an awesome time. I would have given MJQ four stars if I didn't get random drips on my head while dancing and they refilled the toilet paper. It really is a cool club.
