by Raj D. on Pretty cool place! I would recommend the salsa night on Thursday. The crowd is friendly and the live music is good. The place is big, so you don't have to worry about space. The photos on their site make the place look high end, but it's slightly grungier than you might initially expect. All in all a cool SF hot spot!
by Kim K. on My FAVORITE restaurant in Austin, Texas! Where I went to throughout my years while at UT. That Stuffed Avacado entree is just simply heaven, and every time I go back to Austin, I have to go indulge that dish. Of course, don't forget to order your Mexican Margarita! The limit is 2 unless you want to try to go to all Trudy's around Austin and get 2 from each. I have known someone to try it....and fail that challenge at the second Trudy's. The only downside I have to this is the wait! Unfortunately, they do not take reservations, and you can't get on the list unless your entire party is there. But, trust me, the wait is well worth it!
by Quiana Vassie on I'm giving this lounge a 2 primarily for the RUDE owner, or whoever the heck he was (his name is Nikolai, btw) who was a total prick. The only reason i chose this lounge for my graduation party is because my other choices were all taken (i.e. Ambassador Lounge). First off, he was totally nice & returned my emails prior to me booking the spot, and kept insisting that i book because it will go fast for the particular nite. But i waited another week, bc i was still trying to find another spot. To make a long story shorter, I ended up booking a private back room for $700 (yes, $700!!), in addition to a $2000 minimum bar tab. The other thing was that he wanted to charge my credit card for the full amount, for what he said was to "guarantee" the spot for the nite. I've booked a lot of parties in sf, and most places would only take a deposit. We had well over 200 guests on our guestlist (who all suppose to get in for free). One particular guest, who i specifically had on the guestlist had to pay to get in, and the girl at the front i talked to was being a total bitch about the situation, and said that it was too late and that she couldn't give him a refund. The private room was a fair size w/ it's own bar. I was told we would have our own dj in the room (but that was a lie). The bouncers who guarded the door into the private room were extremely rude, but i guess they did their job of keeping others out. I must admit, the music was good in both rooms, and everyone had a good time. We had a ton of people at the lounge that nite, and everyone spent a lot of $$ at the bar. When i tried contacting Nikolai to see if we met the bar tab (eventhough i was 200% positive we went WAY over), he never got back to me, and he NEVER returned my emails. I was waiting for him to tell me i didn't meet the bar tab, so i could sue his ass. If you want a private party...go to element lounge.
