The Cafe! Even as I write this review I can just smell the stench of vodka on your sticky floors on a Saturday night. The Cafe is my favorite place to dance with friends, meet new friends, drink really stiff drinks...and wake up and wonder...what happened?! the next day. They have good 2 for 1 deals during the day and slow nights. Fridays- boy bar. If you plan to meet lesbians...this is NOT the night to go. THE night to go if you are a gay boy in Abercrombie, Affliction, or any type of tight v-neck who loves Gus Presents events. Saturdays- usually more women than any other nights- especially if its the 3rd Saturday. They have "delicious" on 3rd Saturdays which is a womens tdance that goes from 4-7, and filters through the night. The cover is around $5 but you get 2 for 1 drinks, free food, and gogo dancers. +'s They've remodeled and given the girls lots of bathrooms than the usual Castro standard of 1. Stiiiffff drinks -'s THE STAIRS! They remodeled and still have those stairs that at least 5 people slip and fall on during a night. I secretly want to install a camera on those stairs.

I recently had my birthday party at Cielo on a Saturday night. I emailed the promoter during the week before and told him that I was coming with about 15 guests and asked him what was the deal with bottle service with that many people. He told me that i would have to buy minimum 2 bottles, which would get about 6 people in without paying the cover, while the rest would have to pay $25. When we showed up at the club, he told me that he would reduce the cover for the rest to $20, but when my friends came in after me they told me that they paid NOTHING. So all in all everyone got in for free and the table service was great. The club wasn't wall to wall packed but it was nice to be in a place where you could walk to the bar without rubbing against everyone in your path. I don't remember much else from that night but I would definitely go back on a night when the cover was cheaper since the club was really cool and the house music was awesome.

Ahhhhhh.....the 24 hour NON STOP PARTY! It's one of the only places in SF stays open for like 72 hours straight for a reason. TO GET HIGH! Don't frown if you came on a Friday night and come back Sunday afternoon to find the same people dancing. Yes, they were there the entire time! When you went home, showered, and went to bed, they were still dancing. When you got up, went to the gym, had lunch, met up with your friends, and went to bed, THEY were still dancing. When you decided to stop by on Sunday for a drink, THEY continued to dance! I'm not gonna hate on the substance abusers for dancing for 3 days straight, but that shit is just way too crazy for me to see. I had to knock off two stars for that. IF YOU"RE LOOKING FOR A NONSTOP PARTY, YOUR ASS BETTER END UP @ THE END UP!
