I went here for this past NYE celebration. I've never done the "buy tickets for a NYE event" thing before so I wasn't sure what to expect. We're told they open at 8, open bar starts at 9. My friends and I get there at around 7:40, thinking that there might be a line because of the open bar. To our surprise, the line was full of maybe a group of 8 people so we thought, awesome, doors should open in 20 minutes and we'll be in in no time. Wrong. They didn't let us in till about 8:20/30. I'm assuming they did this in order to make it look like a "happening" place with people itching to get in. Ummm, pretty sure I didn't pay $135 to wait in the cold, thanks. Other than that, I had a really good experience here. They were true to their word on the open bar. Opened at 9 and lasted till the point where I couldn't even remember the night...so way past midnight. The music was great, they had some free appetizers (which you had to seriously hunt for), and the drinks were pretty damn good too. The woman working the bathroom was HILARIOUS. Loved her. Loved her free candies. Loved everything about it. The decor was interesting too. There were crystal-like balls hanging from the ceiling and, if memory serves me correctly, vines/greenery on the walls...which I suppose makes sense given the name of the venue. Another hitch though is that they advertise having 3 floors. It's really more like 2.25 floors because the "3rd" floor overlooks the ground floor, kind of like a loft. So they stretch the truth a bit on that one. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place assuming regular weekends have the same type of vibe/music as NYE.

I recently had my birthday party at Cielo on a Saturday night. I emailed the promoter during the week before and told him that I was coming with about 15 guests and asked him what was the deal with bottle service with that many people. He told me that i would have to buy minimum 2 bottles, which would get about 6 people in without paying the cover, while the rest would have to pay $25. When we showed up at the club, he told me that he would reduce the cover for the rest to $20, but when my friends came in after me they told me that they paid NOTHING. So all in all everyone got in for free and the table service was great. The club wasn't wall to wall packed but it was nice to be in a place where you could walk to the bar without rubbing against everyone in your path. I don't remember much else from that night but I would definitely go back on a night when the cover was cheaper since the club was really cool and the house music was awesome.

All I can say is keep the open bar coming! I don't remember this night, but I knew I had fun...I think I ended up going to rehab aftwards actually!
