I wish I could review actual vanguard, but we were tricked into the "regular event" and not the "asian even" and were shoved in a tiny room upstairs. We showed up front and they told us to go around the back as our friend had a table, we walk back and hundreds (thousands?) of people waiting in line. We get in a shorter line for tables and some guy says "are you here for the regular event or the Asian event?" my response was "why because I'm not Asian?" we follow him and he gets us in the front door quickly. the promoter told us once we were in, both rooms were accessible as we had friends who were already in the main room this was important. As we tried to walk downstairs we were not allowed down the stairs into the other room, the "Asian event." really? So white people aren't allowed? As for the "VIP" room we were in, nothing special. Horrible bartenders (and i mean just terrible. everything you asked for they would ask their partner then look blankly at the screen), bad dj's it sounded like a damn commercial with the dj coming on the mic and saying "tomorrow night bla bla bla!!! where are the single ladies!!" over and over and over and his computer was unplugged twice, and his mix of slow old rap songs was terrible. And tons of big bald dudes standing on the edge starring at everyone. I will go back to check out the main room as it looked gigantic from upstairs, but a few other places i want to check out first.

Cleaner and lower-key than it's west side counterpart, the booze is still a bit pricey for this part of town. Ping-pong table gets it's own room, which bumps it up from 2 stars to 3.

This was by far the best Karaoke experience I've ever had! I had my 30th birithday party and rented their biggest room (seats 50+) for about 3 hours! The food and service was great! The staff attended to our every need and everyone had a blast! I highly recommend this place! Note: The place is super clean! Great sound system & awesome huge flat screens Overall ambiance is stellar! Karaoke setup is typical for K-Town Songs are listed by title, not artist (again typical for K-town) Food & drinks are reasonably priced for a Karaoke place and everything tasted great! They didn't have a problem with split bills either. I had nearly 40 people at the party and each of them paid for their own food/drinks. I paid for the room separately and it wasn't a problem at all! Another Plus is that they are open on Sunday - unlike most other Karaoke places in K-town!
