The absolute worst club I have ever been to in NYC. The bouncers were horrible and rude. They could not manage the line outside and kept screaming in our faces to back up. They made all the guys take their chains off.. yes.. our chains. When i asked why I had to they said, "we don't want people looking like their from Jersey in here" .. So I reluctantly took my necklace off and put it in my pocket. Later on when I asked another bouncer where I can go for a cigarette he didn't even answer me or look at me he simply pointed his finger as rude and annoying as possible in a random direction and I basically had to find it myself. The club was dark, hot and nothing special. The drinks were typically expensive but what really ruined my experience was the horrible staff. I called and complained to a manager the next morning and he seemed apologetic but nothing else came of it. I would not go back for that reason alone. Months later I saw a clip from Bridezilla of a woman ripping a bouncer a new one after he didn't let her in with the veil. That made me so happy because I guarantee it was that same ignorant doorman that I encountered. *EDIT* Interestingly enough I went back tonight unexpectedly and it was a totally different scene. The bouncers were actually very nice (they looked different). The only complaint it the ridiculously high priced drinks. Four shots of Soco and Lime were $56.00. Won't be going back even though I swore that already.

I was immediately underwhelmed to meet a line to a VIP event. It was exciting after the fact to enter through the entrance, then elevator to a private VIP party. The private space is tacky with mirrors along the walls with deep (velour i believe) seating and only one bartender. The regular club: nice high ceilings, multiple bars, AWESOME catwalk dancers. Although, there didn't seem to be much dancing in the small amount of dance space. I would've gone somewhere else with a cheaper cover if it wasn't for the event.

We came here for my cousin's 30th birthday party and I had a lot of fun!  I just came from the club and it was quite easy to get into.Whether or not that's a good thing is a matter of opinion. Music:  DJ Cassidy played Kanye West, Arrested Development, Madonna, Daft Punk, Notorious B.I.G., Zhane (Hey Mr. DJ!), Journey, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson and a plethora of other memorable tunes that spanned from the 90s to the present.  My only gripe is that he didn't play songs the whole way through and would cut to the next song after a couple minutes of play time.  Bah!  Just when I was feeling Daft Punk's "One More Time"!  We gon celebrate!  Alright. There was enough elbow room and an even number of ladies to guys.  I found a total of 4-5 hot (read: drop dead gorgeous) ladies there thinking that there wouldn't be any since it was easy to get into.  Being a Saturday night, there were maybe no more than 15 people in line.  But the dance floor had enough people busting a move that it seemed like a best kept secret. Decor:  Vertical wooden planks flank the four walls.  Several soft cushioned seats and tables formed a square in the middle of the room, but gave way enough for people to dance in between.  The coat check area was at the far opposite end of the entrance.  On a scale of 1 - 5 with 5 being the darkest, it was about a 3.5 where you could "clearly" see who's dancing in front of you, but dark enough to where they seemed mysterious and alluring.  The entire room seemed like an extension of Matsuri, the trendy Japanese restaurant next door at the Maritime Hotel.  There were also ladies who used long drapes and performed a la cirque du soleil near the ceiling for added entertainment. Atmosphere:  People weren't too pretentious nor were they ghetto. Most everyone seemed real and out to have a good time, especially the girls who wanted to go out and dance with their friends. Drinks:  For example, a 7 & 7 costs $10. Tap water on the other hand, is free.  But I tippsed them anyway.  Decently priced.  Bartenders were attentive cause despite the people who crowded the bar, she was able to flag me down instead of the other way around. Romantic:  It could be. Admission:  $20 for guys and $20 girls, but if you eat at Matsuri next door, you may be able to try and get your way in for free.  Just talk to the bartender at the restaurant (Cough, cough, Mata the goatee-under-the-lip and nose ring guy from Japan who thinks LA depresses him, but loves Orange County and hit on my beautiful female cousin) and have a few drinks.  Or have your girlfriends show some skin.  Holla!
