I went to Morimoto's with pretty high expectations, everyone in Philly seems to rave about the place and Morimoto is after all the ultimate Iron Chef. However, i have to admit to being disappointed. Overall it was "just okay". The sushi was fine, not outstanding, but i live on the west coast so i may be spoiled. We sampled across several appetizers and while tasty, in my mind they did not live up to the reviews. Our waiter was attentive but actually a bit snobbish and condescending. When we asked about "spicy roles" he informed us that the spider, tuna, salmon and shrimp tempura were all "very" spicey. So we ordered the shrimp. It was not even remotely spicy, actually it was one of the more boring roles i have ever had. We mentioned that the role was not at all spicey to our waiter and he said "let me bring you out some sauce", long story short it was also not at all spicy, just creamy. Overall i would not go back. It definitely did not stand up my expectations of Morimoto directed or inspired dishes.

Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge is a great date spot, but bowling can be pretty quick when its only one on one. Bring friends, be prepared to spend 10-15 bucks on each drink and enjoy the music, it will take you back to 1998. Prices for bowling and shoes can be up there too. Come on a discount night, hopefully it wont be a zoo.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB UNLESS: 1. You want to stand in line for over 2 hours. 2. You want a buzz kill. 3. You are a group of girls with no guys. 4. You can drop $600+ for a table. 5. You drive a Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley, etc. and get dropped off in the front. 6. You are a celebrity, sleep with the bouncer/promoter/owner, or use money to wipe your ass. Being that I did not fall in any of the categories above, I must say that I did NOT enjoy my time paying $20 for parking, waiting in line for over 2 hours (we got there at 9:45 PM), then FINALLY deciding that it wasn't worth it, driving to Sugar, then paying $20 for parking AGAIN, and then not having a good time because I was still in a bad mood. Not to mention the cover at Sugar was $20 and that I was just there last Thursday, the night I made history and got kicked out for the first time. Just to make it a bit fair, it was a Saturday night, and I believe there was an event going on...something to do with Asian night? Yeah, tell me when it isn't Asian night somewhere... Yes, I am bitter. Yes, I hate Hollywood. Yes, I hate the people who frequent Hollywood. And yes, I'm bitter. I feel a little better now.
