BRUNCH BRUNCH BRUNCH! On a bright and sunny "winter" day in Jan we came here for for a friend's birthday and promptly began with bottomless mimosas ($7). My anger at having to be up early for brunch wore off after the first mimosa and the 65 degree winter weather. I had the Frittata and my friend had the eggs benedict. They were both very solid. She also drunkenly force fed me some of the chocolate chip pancakes her friend was having (it was her 25th bday and a couple of mimosas in so not that out of the ordinary) seated at 10:30, 2-3 mimosa refills by 11 and ordering food. 11:30 food and birthday shots from the next table over ($Spark plug shots- chilled espresso, vanilla vodka, and kahlua) mimosas until 12:30ish. Napped from 1-7pm and continued the birthday celebration in the Mission! Now that's a successful Saturday! The draw here is the awesome party environment and decor. It's definitely a club type of brunch feel with everyone dancing and singing along-or maybe we were the only ones dancing and singing.....

I came here to celebrate my friend's buuurfday. It seemed like a cool place in the center of Hollywood and highland. One of the problems I had was that she had a list, but my friend and I who walked in a little later had to pay 20 bucks each to the bouncer to get in...whats up with that? I needed more money for my drinks!! Right when you walk in they have a lower area bar which doesn't seem to get packed but when you walk upstairs there is a dance floor that was pretty small. It gets packed and really...I mean really hot in there, sometimes smells too. They don't really have a smoking area, but it's connected near the dance floor. I think they need to have a better ventilation system or make the smoking area separated. It seems a little uncomfortable since you want to have fresh air while smoking a cigarette. At least I do The music was decent and pretty good at times. The bar had some hot bar tenders. The prices were average Hollywood prices, maybe a little more expensive. But one waitress pissed me off because she got mad at me for having exactly the money for the drink, but no tip. I blame it on the 40 dollars taken from my friend and I by the bouncer.

It was my first time at a club, so I don't have much to compare it to. All I can do is tell you what I liked and what I didn't like. New Wave night - I loved. Morrissey, The Smiths and the place went crazy when Everybody Wants to Rule The World came on. The crowd was friendly, jumpin and singing as one. I loved being able to escape up to the second story when my tired feet needed a break. Having three bars is awesome, I never waited to get a drink. One of them is tucked way in the back with a hidden dance floor. It feels like your under cover when you adventure back there. I didn't love the crappy over-priced drinks. The bartender was a great guy, he just has crap to work with. I didn't love the vomit in the sink.
