by Sandy T. on Why this place is allowed to operate at night is beyond me. The conditions of this venue is comparable to that of a horrendous sweatshop. No ventilation whatsoever is my biggest gripe! I couldn't BELIEVE people were voluntarily dancing down in that hell hole of a basement! Why was the music not upstairs?! The second you reach the bottom of the stairs, your nose is filled with a stench so strong, you swear there were dead dogs rotting in their own urine and feces for months on end. The body odor and sweat in this place will slowly debilitate the rest of your senses.
by Mish L. on Heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place, both good and bad. While in town, finally ended up coming here with friends on a Friday night to stop off and have some fun. As it was the 2nd stop of the night, we got here pretty late. Luckily, one of my friend's friends comes here a lot and knows people. Thanks to him, we were able to get in without having to pay cover or wait in line. Sweet, thanks buddy! :-) The place was packed, but there was a lively, mixed crowd, music was good (hip hop/house), good layout (downstairs/upstairs and roomy), typical club scene, really dark inside so I couldn't tell if the decor was nice or not (seemed on the nicer side from the bits that I could see). It didn't feel cramped, even with the amount of people there (which I liked). As I was already buzzed from our previous stop, I only had a few drinks (pricey but strong-- fine with me as long as it's bang for your buck). Welcome to NYC! We just hung out and danced the night away. Good times! Nice place to close out -- I had fun! :-)
by Susan Delegeane on We got in line at around 10:30pm and didn't get in until after 11:05pm. Originally, on the flyer it said free admission until 11:30pm, but once we got there we got tickets for half off admission which was still $10pm. I mean, it's only $10, but I usually don't pay for admission elsewhere and I can use that $10 for a drink. The decor was okay, nothing eye popping. Two levels, two dance floors, and I think three bars. It's a decent setup, has potential to be good if they marketed to the right crowd. The crowd was okay, however, like around 1/4 - 1/2 of the crowd was speaking in their native tongue, nothing wrong with that...but I think that's all they spoke. Hella fobby, mostly Asians folks out there. Music was good though because DJ Travis/Cumlowde was spinning. I hate clubs with a smoking room like this place and Glas kat. There's no ventilation, I feel like I'm going to die in there!!
