by Don Stearman on The food was pretty terrible. The good: The naan and "chips" with three dips they start your meal with. Much better than regular ol' chips and salsa or bread. The tuna tartare was decent, and had an interesting flavor profile- was a little too busy, but was still tasty. It was served with yummy crispy plantain chips, and packed a bit of heat with slivered jalapeno mixed in the avocado side. The bread pudding was decent. The vanilla gelato accompaniment was icy. The substantial feeling cutlery was cleverly designed to keep off the white linens. The bad: the actual FOOD. The seared scallops was too salty, and was only bearable if consumed with the purple potato mash. The saag paneer ravioli was a complete disappointment. The saag paneer was completely runny with no flavor- and there were no morsels of cheese! How can something be called a paneer without the paneer? The ravioli itself was gummy and the dish was luke warm. We also ordered the special: swordfish on a bed of lentils. That was a mistake. It didn't look like it would taste good. The flavors and textures of the swordfish and the lentils did not complement each other at all. The mess was exacerbated with a sprinkle of corn and peppers and other brightly colored excuses for taste. Etc: The server made a really big deal about us leaving the table so that they could set it up for the bottle service guests that were coming into the club later that evening. That was wholly uncalled for and unappreciated. Not worth your time or money.
by Naoko M. on I visited my friend up at Harvard for 4 days and I ended up going here twice, both times for a late night "snack." The beef chow foon is delicious, as are the crab rangoons. I think we also ended up ordering the scallion pancakes, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, among a few other dishes. Of course 2 scorpion bowls were in order, which was amazing. The singaporean curry noodles are ok, though a bit bland. I ended up adding salt and pepper to the whole thing. Seafood pancakes are also tasty. Can't really complain, I suppose. It's where the Harvard kids go late at night and I can definitely see why. I wish we could have gotten there in time for the club upstairs....
by Teddy d. on i will stick to the bar... cause if I have to take my shoes off ... I might as well go all the way.... Have not had the food but the music was great and the service at the bar prompt considering it was a Saturday night... I will definitely go back for cocktails....
