Not a bad place at all and certainly cheap enough. Hot dog was better than the burger. Hand cut fries were good but the onion rings were greasy.

Calling all martini lovers! Do you fancy an original cosmo or a pomegranate one? maybe a gin martini or even one made with vodka? Martuni's martini menu (tongue twister!) sure aims to please even the most picky cocktail drinker. Let the dapper bow-tied bartender make you a Godiva martini or perhaps a classic cocktail like a sidecar. You'd be hard pressed not to find one to your liking, especially since the prices are from $5 - $9. I was shocked to see my BFF, who's a beer lover, forgo his usual pilsner for a refreshing watermelon martini -- it even came garnished with a watermelon slice! If that doesn't remind you of summer, I don't know what does. Mish L was spot on when she said it reminded her of a jolly rancher, especially good if you like your drink on the sweet side. I went with a classic gin martini. At $7, I got a cocktail made with Burnett's gin, dry vermouth and olives. Their martini glass is bigger than most places in SF, so pace yourself and sip (NOT gulp!) your drink. The place seems to be frequented by regulars, eclectic mix but not rowdy. Park yourself at the bar or better yet, check out the piano room past the black curtain. I'm sure many a nights have gone down in history with courageous crooners who've braved the mic. Whether you prefer your martini shaken or stirred (yes I DID just go there) all I can say is, this is a bar that even 007 would like.

I'm going to separate this review into 3 parts: The Girls. Chan Ho Park had a higher batting average as a Dodger than my buddies did at Le Cercle on Saturday night. I was seriously rejected by every chick (no ugly jokes, I'm sensitive). And why would I admit this? Because 1) I have no shame, and rejection is as rudimentary as my morning coffee and 2) going 0-20 needs to be documented somewhere. And trust me, I was swinging at every pitch. We tried everything: the self-deprecating dancing, "come to our table" (then again, everyone has a table), and my go to move: a simple introduction with an open hand. I'm Korean, albeit my friends consider me the "worst" Korean ever, so I can tell you from firsthand experience that being Korean doesn't give you a leg up at Le Cercle. To sum it up, the girls are Le Squares at Le Cercle. The Service: It's decent. My Korean is limited, but they didn't seem to care. The waiter was professional and did his job: get us inebriated. We got smashed for $75~/person. Booking is another topic, so I'm not going to comment on the talent they bring to the table. I prefer hunting over it being served on a silver platter anyway... The Experience: This is the reason I went; I wanted to try something new while I was still young. And apparently, mid 20's is too young. And ultimately, I was let down. I wouldn't go again, but at the same time, I'm not going to knock this place. It simply isn't my scene, but we walked away with some great stories.
