Year after year...visit after visit, the food and service are like wine and only get better with time. I have never had a bad experience here and will continue to go back often. Whether I'm sitting at the bar or at the chef's table I feel like a valued guest and I LOVE that. The food has always been consistent and you are immediately hit with a striking aroma that has you floating off the floor as soon as you walk in...literally, you begin to salivate as your mind races to figure out what magic they've got brewing in the kitchen. The wine selection is very well-rounded and the cheeses...oh, the cheeses. What to choose from? By using the freshest ingredients and supporting local farmers, Woodfire serves up one of the best meals and experiences in Atlanta. Do yourself a favor and go now if you've not already been...it is truly fabulous in every aspect.
by Josue Natvig on Parish's motif is absolutely stellar. The mood is warm and inviting. I love how you order from a hanging chalkboard menu. It's another very cleverly themed restaurant by the Concentrics Hospitality Group. The wine selection was great. But... the food was ok. Nothing spectacular. A little bland, imho. My wife had the Sunflower Salad and the Georgia Farm Fresh Vegetables plate. I had the Shrimp Burger. None really captured my palate. Maybe there are some other dishes on the menu that hit the mark. The other issue I had was that it took three hours to complete our dinner. Granted, we were there on a Saturday night when it was very busy, but our waiter was very slow -extremely slow. He was probably task saturated with tables because he seemed disoriented every time he hit ours. I'll suggest friends to visit Parish if they are into Cajun food. But, I'm not sure if I'll go back again very soon.
