I really like Yoshi's... Stopped in on a Friday night for a guest DJ set by Erykah Badu...aside from the fact that she did NOT show up, I had a great time. Parking was a bit scarce and the line seemed intimidating but the staff at Yoshi's knows how to treat people. The security had announcements and kept everyone informed outside of when the doors would open. Inside there are a variety of levels and rooms. Multiple bars and the restrooms were clean and abundant. I'm sure I would come back for another night....hopefully next time though the performer actually shows up!

There were a few questions I had to ask myself when I woke up the next morning after a night out at Buddha Bar.... 1.) Where there really heads on the wall? 2.) Did I really drop my bag inside the sink that could of been used a as small boat? 3.) Did the girl sitting across from us really know all the lyrics to the Indian songs and dance to every single one? 4.) Were people at other tables really standing up on their chairs dancing and waving napkins in the air during dinner? 5.) Was I really singing and bopping along to a Hava Negila club remix(spelling? no clue I'm Catholic) and taking part in the clapping that got started during desert? 6.) Did someone ask if I wanted to be lifted up on their shoulders when I couldn't get service at the bar? 7.) Were my Black Buddha's really $15 each?!? Aside from my confusion as I stumbled out of bed ... I really really liked it here. Such a great atmosphere from the decor to the food to the music. I can't wait to go back. Sky*

So last night, Ernie and i were out having a few oat sodas and a surferboy/frat guy type from SoCal started chatting us up...with "bro" talk, etc.... I became annoyed with his stupidity so i set a challenge for myself. I challenged myself to convince him that something he believed all along was wrong. I set up for the kill.... (Somehow got on the topic of hunting elk) Me: What do you mean hunting elk? Him: Uhh...dude...exactly what i said, hunting elk. Me: Haha...yeah...elk. Him: What? I wanna hunt elk. Me: Yeah, cool...good luck with that. Snicker. (take a swig of beer) Him: Good luck? What the fuck bra? Me: You uhh gonna hunt unicorns too? Him: Huh? Unic.... Me: Well i figure if youre going to hunt for something fictitious like elks, you may as well hunt unicorns too. Him: Haha...ok dude. Elks are not fictitious. Me: Uhhh....are you fucking serious? You really believe in elks? Him: I......yeah. YEAH! Me: (Shakes head) Him: Dude....they.....are you serious? Wait.... Me: Im serious. I cant believe you didnt know that....how fucking old are you? *laughs* Him...Thirty tw....wait.....ive seen them. Me: Dude...ive seen jackalopes, Santa Claus and Godzilla. It doesnt mean they are real. *laughs* Him: Wow....dude...i had no idea. *sadly looks at table with that 100 yard stare.* Me: *Slaps his back like a BRO* - Yup....fake as fuck. Damn....i cant believe you didnt know that. (Laughing) Him: I feel like an idiot. Man..... Me: You should. Haha....fucking elks. Nice. *Laughs, finishes beer* Him: ....... So my point is this. Believe and stay firm in your convictions. Like at Supperclub, i was convinced i was visible, and that people could see me. After standing at the fucking bar for 45 minutes staring at the bartenders with the biggest shit eating grin i could muster, and literally having satellites around me being served, i got the point that i didnt exist or, that i was invisible. I was served twice in three hours in that clusterfuck. TWICE. Thank spaghetti other rateclubers said hi to me, or Supperclub would have had me believing i was an Elk.
