I tried Slice because 1) I had heard good things from a friend and 2) I went to Rosa's right up the street but it was closed for the day. I glanced at the menu outside before going in but didn't really look closely. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and get a couple of slices to go. 2 slices, 2 toppings each - $9. Wow, yes, 9 dollars for a couple slices of regular pizza - nothing fancy. My same order would have cost less than $6 at Rosa's around the corner. I just hoped that it would be fantastic, but I had my doubts. The pizza is very thin crust - I mean, really thin. The slices are large in terms of surface area, but I don't really think it is much more pizza than you'd get around the corner since it is thinner. The bottom had a nice little char to it which was pretty good, but the dough wasn't that good. There was so little sauce I couldn't really detect it except near the crust. The toppings were average and it seemed like they threw a little bit more cheese over the toppings on an old cheese slice. The cheese was average. The overall taste was just not nearly as good as Rosa's or Fellini's or even Mellow Mushroom. Yeah, it was definitely not worth $9. I don't really understand the pricing - if a whole pizza is about $18 how can 2 slices be half the cost of an entire pizza? Also, I think a lot of customers down in that area are GSU students so shouldn't you aim for more economical prices? I'm sure Rosa's kills them during weekdays. I'm guessing they can stay open though because 1) they are open in the evenings and on weekends, 2) they have a bar, 3) it's more of a sitdown place and 4) they can get people in from Philips Arena/Tabernacle/Rialto. I wouldn't recommend this place, but it's an ok (though pricey) option. 2

I've had one of my good clubbing experiences here at Highland. It's pretty convenient in terms of parking and getting to the club. Getting in isn't so easy, and lines get crazy long, but not too bad after you get into the club. Good music bumpin and full bars that surprisingly aren't that packed. Crowd is fairly old, I'd say. Seems like a lot of 30's to older folks there. Table service is alright. My homegirl had it but I didn't even use it-- I think it was faster to get drinks at the bar. Dance floor is pretty big, and ourdoor patio is pretty big also (long, not wide), but it's chill, I like it alot! My hg had hookups, so getting in isn't as bad as if you didn't know any of the insiders. Me and two others got there late after our group already went in.. we had to end up paying a couple bucks, but it was better than being in the long line next to us. They looked like they've been waiting forever. One thing about this place is that they are pretty strict. I was still under 21 and used my friends ID. I had to go through 3 different guys before they let me in... I'm 21 now so it's not biggie, but I guess that's good--- I hate seeing little 18 year olds runnin wild in clubs--distrubing (yes, I am aware of the hypocrisy!) :)
