Restaurant Review: 2.5 stars if possible Sat nite, party of 3, no resv. Getting a table wasn't really a problem considering this wasn't really packed, then again... it was a freezing night out. The space and decor is beautiful, which may mean it focuses on being a swank place rather than on its food. The food turned out being decent, some better than others. We started with the lamb samosa, which was tasty with one catch... it was the potato version. I was pretty disappointed as I'm a big fan of lamb. For the main course we had 1 little plate and 2 big plates: Malai Kebab (lamb), Paneer Makni (cheese) and Hydrabadi Murgh (chicken). The Malai Kebab was well seasoned and cook though i don't remember the cream cheese part of it. The Peneer was just ok, creamy tomato sauce nothing really special. Finally the Hydrabadi Murgh was very tasty and though we didn't specify any type of spice level, it did have a nice background spiciness to it. With the main course we also had rice and the basket of varietal naan which was more than enough. Quality wise everything was good, but then you're also paying for it (at least you hope). On the service side... our server seemed very inconsistent, somewhat attentive at first and then when we were ready for the check hard to flag down. Eventually we were able to grab the check once we grabbed the attention of what seemed to be the owner of the place. Beyond that, nothing else notable. To summarize, the service was so-so and the food more like modern, but good. I probably wouldn't return but I wouldn't avoid either.

It's rare that your standard dive bar will be the catalyst for something that you remember your entire life. The dragonfly was this dive bar for me last night. I WAS johnny utah. Although I was fashionably late purchasing tickets, I was able to score one for a weekend performance of Point Break Live! Luckily enough, I was also chosen to be the keanu for the evening (which is just how the production works...awesome). It was oddly slimy, disturbingly tiring, overwhelmingly surreal, and really, really wet. Yes, the experience was absolutely amazing. Kudos to the wonderful cast and crew for their impressively clever execution of such a brilliantly insane idea. Oh, this should also be a review of the venue. Additional kudos to the dragonfly for constantly re-defining their space to serve a variety of tastes. Drinks were strong and plentiful. The crowd was blissfully buzzed and mesmerized. The layout was perfect...enough stage space for antics, yet intimate enough to allow each attendee to have a "front row" experience at the same time. Management was cool and the wait at the door was short and sweet. Thank you dragonfly. I will return again for another experience, even though it probably won't involve hanging from the rafters or meatball subs.
