by A C. on This was a complete waste of money for New Years!! First off I was accused of a fake ID when being carded at the entrance. I have been coming here for years, and am 27. I can not believe that they allow such rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate door staff. My ID is new and clearly me, it should not have been scrutinized, then handed off to another bouncer who loudly said she thought it was fake and to top it off have both bouncers keep shining their flash light in my face repeatedly. When I showed them my credit cards with my name and picture they completely ignored me. Being mortified outside of the club was the tip of the iceberg. Inside the bathrooms were disgusting! There was no toilet paper, seat covers or paper towels in any of the stalls. Much later in the night someone threw a stack of paper towels on the soaking wet counter and that was all there was to use as toilet paper. I would expect for the cost of the event the restrooms would be in much better condition and at the very least have toilet paper. The third issue was that we were huddled in the main bar area until after 11pm and people were pushing and shoving just to get to the door, at which point it was the discretion of the bouncer to let people in. When I paid for the ticket to the event the information was that the doors opened at 10pm to the main floor. I do not appreciate being crowded into a small bar and then having to fight my way into the main dance floor. Needless to say this is one place I will not be returning to again.
by Tom C. on I like this place. The menu is interesting and changes often. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean-style food. The garlic shrimp appetizer is great, as is the grilled romaine. I usually get an entree special, but the menu entrees are pretty good, too. The wine list is excellent and varied. The service is usually pretty good, too. They have free valet parking, which is a plus. While I like this place a lot, there is something about it that is hard to put my finger on. The last time we were there, the hostess was very rude to us, and we had to wait a while past our reservation time. The waiter was also a bit brisk with us. I will go back for sure, but my most recent experience definitely takes it down from four stars to three.
by Number1 on I have the best time when I'm at Buc's Liquor Box. I love going in there during the day when Buc's girlfriend is working because she is awesome!! I hope he really appreiciates her! I don't think he could do it without her!!
