by Lauren C. on I went here back in May of 2008 and it was awesome. However, I am a 6th street n00b, so take this review with a grain of salt. Went here with a girlfriend of mine to go dancing and have a good time. I'm not a big drinker, so I only had one, but it was really tasty. There's a dress code which is cool, so everyone is all reasonably dressed up. There are three floors. The first two are ice themed, with lots of bright blues and whites and the third floor is fire themed, decked out in dark red and orange lights. The second floor is only part of a floor and you can see out onto the first floor. There's a bar on every level though if remember correctly. See pictures! There were lots of places to sit, which was a plus. And there were these cool little in-set booths on the first floor with blue lit-up tables. The dance floor wasn't huge but it was big enough for the people who were there and dancing. Although, as Anna S. mentioned there are a LOT of dudes just waiting on the sidelines to ninja behind you and start grinding their crotches into your booty. I am not joking and it freaked me out. I had to turn around and tell more than one guy to stop dry humping me plskthx. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned but what happened to asking? Or even making eye contact with me BEFORE sneaking up behind me? Rude. I just assumed this happened in all bars though, but I'll let you be the judge of that. And when my friend went to the bar or to call someone I can't remember, I had to pretend to text on my phone just to get no less than three males to leave me alone about how "it was their friends birthday." If you're going out to find a dude to dance with/possibly other things, then this place is for you! Otherwise, go with a big group of girls or at least some watchout friends. BUT I wouldn't call any of them creepy and I never once felt unsafe, it was just really, really annoying. Besides that, the bar is fabulous. I would definitely go back here. I suspect if I come back here with my boyfriend, I won't have the aforementioned problem again. :o) Oh yeah! And the music selection was awesome. I had a great time dancing to it and the DJ was great- the songs flowed seamlessly.
by Claudia D. on Wow what a great ending to a nice evening with friends. While sipping some champagne and conversing with friends I had the great idea to pick up a rose falling from the central vase. I put it in my hair and all my friends complimented me on how well it matched what I was wearing. Right away the bouncer, with no life of his own, came and literally threw me and my friends out of the club, but not before making a point to shout at me and try to publically humiliate the whole group of us. I am so happy that this establishment has professional doormen working for them instead of those guys you would find bouncing obnoxious people outside of a slummy bar. It truly made me disgusted with the fact that I wasted a perfectly good Wednedsday night I could have otherwise spent somwhere else.
by Danica Barncastle on There are way too many Indian people here all the time -- typical early-20s, green contact lens, strappy tank top and black pants types -- and that made me think the drinks might be cheap, but such is not even the case. I like the layout in terms of all the comfy-looking couches, and I like how there's a downstairs too (which sometimes charges, btw), but it's not so easy to find a place to sit or breathe. By the way, don't call me racist; I'm Indian, and therefore allowed to say things like that.
