by Jeffrey Shina on The spot... (unless you're a weekend warrior. if so, GET OUT!!!!) Incredible outdoor patio and pool with cabanas lining the LA city skyline. This place has gotten some new blood thanks to Dim Mak Cannonball sunday's. They have great resident DJ's play, but also incredible guests DJ's. I've seen Steve Aoki, Le Castle Vania, JFK, MustardPimp, and Classixx all here at one point. AWESOME.... $5 beers, $6 cocktails. NOT AWESOME $15 RBV. WTF? Not cool to advertise that way, but everyone does so I can hate on the philly fake out. BE WARY! MAKE SURE YOU ASK WHAT THE SPECIALS ARE. or don't and be a baller. More for me, and more speak-easys for me.
by Enola Saam on The place would have received a fifth star if it wasn't so darn small. *sigh* My bro and I paid the five dollar cover, walked in and wondered "where's the rest of it?" But besides that... The DJ played the best of 80s and 90s Hip hop (then again, 80s & 90s hip hop was the best era of hip hop...period). I don't remember if he threw in a couple new top 40 hits (too sauced to remember). But I do know that I was shaking my lady lump to some damn good Hip Hop. Drinks were moderately priced. People (mostly Asian) usually danced with the folks they came with but after three drinks, most ventured off and danced with everyone else. I will definitely be coming back, and pay to dance in someone's living room.
by ro b. on I went to Cielo based on rateclubs reviewers. I confess, I was a little skeptical. rateclubsers do not lie! This is a fantastic place, great atmosphere, great music. I cannot wait to go back. Mesmerizing.
