Ecco is the type of place to bring a date to impress or hold a cool and classy business dinner. Decor, lighting and ambiance is wonderful along with solid service, I have no doubt that you'll have an enjoyable experience! Where I think the restaurant falls short is the food and don't get me wrong, the menu is interesting but I'm always a bit concerned when it spans multiple types of food (Italian, French, Spanish). We started off with some cheese, salami and marcona almonds which were quite good but hey, you can typically buy this type of food from any great deli! I did a simple margherita pizza for dinner and finished off with the olive oil, sea-salt ice cream and beignets for dessert. Again, it was all pretty good but here's the catch. Ecco sets the bar so high with its environs that you expect a kick-ass, delicious meal. And it really doesn't deliver here, the food is solid but not exceptional... I always say, don't try to fake the food by dazzling the eye and that's what we've got here. Great ingredients that's missing a bit in the taste and preparation department. And the server went a bit overboard on the menu description, again, let the food speak for itself! Prices at Ecco are certainly in line for what you get, no complaints there. So what can I say but I'm biased against restaurants that care more about how they look than about the food! Ecco is a great spot to drink some wine, entertain some folks and people-watch but if you're about the food, I'm guessing there are better places in Atlanta!

We were walking around Rittenhouse Square looking for a place to eat when we happened upon Pietro's. They have a nice little outdoor area in front, but it was closed. We wanted to sit there, but I guess there was a threat of rain. The hostess seated us in the back, which was still pretty nice. Very clean, nice decor. The staff was very friendly and the entrees were delicious. Very large salads and large portions. Enough to have for lunch the next day. The pizza really looked good, but maybe next time. Very reasonable prices on the food and the wine. Looking forward to eating there again.

I have been here dozens of times and never new it had a third floor downstairs - a good one at that with ample dancing room and a what I dubbed the "mini bar" Roe has always provided a good place to dance and get my drink on. This last time I noticed something a little different - lots of ghetto booty around. That song "booty, booty, booty, booty rockin' everywhere" kept popping into my head. No complaints here. The crowd at Roe is always young, willing, and ready to party. The $20 cover charge (if you arrive after 10) is a bit much, but it keeps the crowd clean and fun. I prefer the upstairs dance floor because it plays hip-hop and dance and is always packed. Although I find the bar upstairs is harder to get a drink at so I grab drinks downstairs. And the drinks tend to be on the stronger side here. Last time I asked for a vodka shot and the bartender poured me a shot in a 10 oz. glass. Needless to say I drank it all and the rest of the night is a blur.
