Want to know a secret? Sign up for the Birthday Fellowship and get in free! Although, I must say, if you are a hard core medieval timer, and sign up for their newsletter, they always have buy1get1 promotions. Anyways, this place is the shite for (ten-yr-olds) birthdays. For $20, you can put the birthday person in the limelight by getting him/her crowned. For $5, you can get the named announced during meal-time. IT'S GREAT! The whole time I was there, I was thinking how much fun it would be to bring my 9 yr old nephew here. We went bc it was my bday yo! and I got in free. For the record, you can redeem the coupon once anytime during the bday month. Anyways, I've been to Medieval Times before in Orlando and decided to take my knight in shining armor here. This location is actually the newest of all the Medieval Times, built in 2006, methinks. The facility is new and plenty of things to do while you wait for the show to begin; watch ppl get knighted, souvenir, mini-museum, take pictures, bathroom. Seating is first come first serve, unless you upgraded to the Royalty package for $10, which I'm glad we didn't do because it was a slow night and we were able to sit 2nd row from the floor. We got a good view of everything, and being Red, we had really good view of the balcony where the King and Princess comes out to talk. The theme is a cover up for "meeh" food. Be prepared to eat with your hands, no silverware! Sweet tea, water, or Pepsi only. Tomato bisque, nicely toasted garlic bread, Half a chicken, 1 piece of rib, 1/2 a herb-roasted potato, apple turnover. optional coffee. The end. The food is not horrible imo. The purpose of this place isn't fine dining, so don't expect to be enthralled. I enjoyed my dinner because everything was served hot and fresh! Watch the performance through a child's eyes and get really entertained. As an adult, I enjoyed the part where they compete and the hawk's appearance. The bird flies pretty close. The jousting was entertaining too. Throughout the performance, I did not dread for it to be over. It was a fun way to spend the night. Parking might be a nuisance because it's actually situated in a mall.

I love the DNA Lounge! First of all it is close to the freeway and there is tons of free parking all around the venue. This is a big plus for anywhere in the city in my opinion. The venue is not to big but deffinitly not small and crowded. They have an upstairs balcony and depending on the night an upstairs room as well. I really enjoy the types of events they have going on here. They do a lot of industrial conerts and clubs, Burlesque shows, freak shows, Mash-ups, gay & lesbian clubs, they have it all. A really good run of alternative events. Even after the Folsom Street Fair they had a Fetish Party! If I want to go out on any night of the week and I don't know what is going on I always check out the DNA Lounge. The down side to this venue is the Security and staff are exteremly rude! Even the bartenders are hit or miss but they more then make up for it with the strength of their drinks. Watch out as they do make strong drinks here and are well worth the normal club price. It is easy to over drink here because again they make really strong drinks. The classic mistake to make at this venue is to drink in the car to save money and then have a drink inside. I have seen many people overdrink this way so watch out. One other good thing about this venue is there is food around when you need to sober up! DNA serves mexican food which I have never had but then there is pizza next door as well as crepe's a go-go across the street.

I have been here many times of the years and the club continues to improve out of response from customers. Great place to salsa. Unlike some clubs where people are either salsa snobs or only dance with people they know at Cocomo you will be dancing all night if you want. Never a problem with getting asked to dance no matter what size you are or how you look. Staff and friendly and helpful. Drinks are good and the free water definitely a plus . Love the addition of the security patrolling the streets. Last security used flashlight to direct us to a parking spot then suggested that we walk in the street rather than on the curb so he could see us better as we walked to the club. Security also ensures you make it to your car safely. The area is in a deserted industrial area and can be a bit creepy for women to walk. I don't usually go to clubs alone but with the added security I would consider it.
