by Hoa T. on Yes it's expensive but why complain afterward because we all know it stepping into the place. I have been here 3 times now and every time I left a worshiper. Each dish is made with a great deal of attention to building flavor and presentation. I can't wait for another opportunity to come back.
by Ryan H. on My company recently secured funding and to celebrate we booked VIP bottle service at Harlot last weekend... and literally had the worst experience I have ever had out. When we arrived at the specified time, they made us wait almost a half hour outside (we were on the guest list and had paid for seating). We had another team member arrive (while the club was still empty) and they wouldn't admit him, stating that our "ratios were bad" (they had our guest list beforehand and know our "male to female ratios"). This all happened about 10 minutes after being admitted. We requested to go our separate ways - The Harlot "Manager" agreed but then wouldn't return my credit card and my ID. The story goes on and on - the net is that this place is a joke - it is located under the freeway where the homeless pitch their tents, and it is run by a bunch of amateurs, who are rude, douchey and inexperienced. Luckily we escaped, found our missing team-member and recovered the rest of the night at 111 Minna.
by Sharmaine Kirakosyan on Went to this place a couple of times over the summer. They really have the most fantastic sangria--not that crappy, orange-rind and vino cheapo that usually passes for sangria. The red sangria had a magical, almost cardamom-y flavor here. We loved the food here as well. Once we accustomed ourselves to feeling a little like trespasser gringos we wolfed down lots of little plates: fried chorizo, empanadas, rice, beans, and something else that is escaping me BUT--everything. was. delicious. I recommend. Why not five stars? Not sure I know enough having only been there twice. Each time the fare was terrific. I guess the service is a little--laconic?
