Manager Mark, who I recognized and he remembered me and Catherine from Suzi's Shoal Creek and Dan the Man for your waiter, makes for a great night at Bar Chi. You must, I repeat, you must try the Pineapple infused sake. I kept mixing it with the regular sake and I had a tasty time. Glad we took a car2go to get there (designated parking spot right around the corner on W. 2nd) and cabbed it home afterwards. I've been there twice and hope to return again soon. They have awesome happy hour prices before 7 p.m. and also a late night happy hour after 10 p.m. even on the weekends in Downtown Austin!! The first time I went there I had 3 Happy Hour rolls, an order of hot edamame, 2 beers, and mochi balls dessert and my bill was only $25!!! You gotta go. I recommended them to @SushiGirl_ATX and follow them at @BarChiSushi on Twitter. Tell 'em @DebKnowsAustin sent ya!

Hello Koko! Popped in here tonight after a stale happy hour experience elsewhere, and Koko had it all. Cool Space, Rad Projected movies on the walls, Friendly and personable staff. Heavy Pours and everything you could want. I plan on returning and peeping out the scene during the later night hours and seeing what's cracking, but right now Koko fits the bill as a cool neighborhood bar. Bravo!

Fun, low-key place to cut a rug. I love this place because of that. I hate to dress up, and sometimes, a girl just wants to get in her flats and shake a tail feather without worrying about what cute top to wear with those designer jeans. The drinks are good, decently priced, and the staff (especially the bouncers) are cool. Music is a huge plus and I will continue to come back for more. Only drawback is that it is small, and thus gets crowded. As of late, it seems like its become taken over by asians, but thats OK by me. I just wanna dance w/ friends, right?
