Tired of the downtown scene and want to chill with real people that want to have a good time - Sherlocks is where it's at. Door staff are always polite and do their job, cocktails hustle to give you great service, bartenders mix up the best drinks in Austin, and the management is always there to handle any and all situations! Thumbs up Sherlocks!!
by Hyman Capel on I always wondered about this perpetually empty bar (at least in the happy hours and early evening) so we came by for some Friday post Work cheer. We were the only people in the place, which was fine. Service was super unfriendly and stale. $9.00 Mixed Drinks (!)) We pounded the second round, and bounced with the quickness, our shine still intact, and not diminished by the unbearable staleness Vertigo attempted to serve up. Note to staff: When you only have a 5 customers in the house, and they all came together, and just bought two rounds within 10 minutes and tipped you on every drink, it might be a good idea to be hospitable to them. Space is cool, and maybe if the staff gets happy they could make something happen.
by Christina S. on Went last night for a friend's bday party - only a $5 cover (not bad), no velvet rope, andt he music was mostly great (lots of hip hop) - the crowd, while not beautiful nor terribly hip, was low key and everyone was really dancing. Very fun atmosphere - great for dancing with friends. Drinks were a little on the pricey side, given the given the down to earth surroundings ($8). Would definitely go back to dance!
