by Harlan Islas on Fancy cocktails the size of a cioppino in North Beach. Haughty, but approachable waiters. A piano you can lay atop and belt out show tunes from. The only thing that's missing is Madame, that fabulous Cuban chanteuse and talented pianist. I miss her. Martuni's makes you feel like you're catching a glimpse of the Castro in the 70s ... but it's not frozen in time, either. It's a good time!
by Syd V. on Definitely a favorite bar of mine. The pizza is tremendous + the bartenders are fun. Love it, regardless of the TL location... sometimes the neighbors sell interesting gadgets and dirty books out front, so if you want to read on the way home...
