OMFG ANOTHER MISSING REVIEW. To recap: -You want a taco, Nick's way. Thus, Nick's Crispy Tacos -Skip on the frescas -Get there too late and it turns into a bar/lounge -Ordering can be confusing if you don't know where to go or how to get things. -Parking in the area may seem suspicious -Cash only -The only thing that would make these tacos better would be some La Vic's hot sauce.

A night at the Academy is so romantic. Whether you head first to the Plantarium to be a part of the stars, walk hand-in-hand up the rainforest ramps while butterflies alight on your shoulder, get giddy with yummy cocktails (I personally liked the bartender in front of the alligator exhibit - he was nice and heavy-handed with the booze), head to the top outside and bundle against each other while learning about the amazing living roof they've created, or get your sweaty groove on the dance floor, this is a blissful date night. It's also grand and loads of fun with friends. But I don't want to lay any of them, so I'm sticking with the romance shtick.

NOTE: The only really enjoyable nights are the Friday night poetry slams. That being said, I enjoyed myself when I went to the Nuyorican and it was my first time. The poetry was intelligent and the host was entertaining...a little pompous at times, but still entertaining. There were definitely more than a few people there who could be defined as posers , and the bartender gave my friend an overpriced, watery drink but I overlooked it since the show was good. I would say to definitely get there early and leave right after the slam because then they do an open mike that was a little boring.
