When I first move to the city about 5+ years ago this club was pretty decent. Strict door policy. Now in 2011...the club is different. The drinks are not cheap the music is ok and the crowd is ok. You can go somewhere better.

like one of the other reviewers, i've only been to arena once and it was during the most recent fashion week for the jordi scott fashion show. i'm solely giving arena four stars based on the fact that the venue was actually quite hip and nicely decorated and would have been spacious had there not been a runway and chairs set up. gin drinks were free for the show, the bathroom was clean, and the crowd was cool. i would probably go back just to check it out on a regular night.

I've only been here a couple of times with friends and once on my own, and every time I'm there I'm satisfied, not because the place is a five-star restaurant, but because I know full well what to expect of this greasy-spoon establishment, home to many drunken rovers looking for a place to fill up... and sober up. See, I'm of the opinion that every town should have an all-night diner at which you can find at least these 6 things: 1. Greasy, cholesterol-ridden food that will not only appease your midnight hunger, but will make you wonder if you ever want to eat again 2. An old man at the counter named Mac who has been there since yesterday and will no doubt be there at some point tomorrow 3. Cheesy 50's throwback wall accents, like a neon-framed clock and red vinyl-covered chromium bar stools 4. A grungy, emo-looking server who will take your order and refill your acidic-yet-addictive coffee in between bites of his own 4am omelette and grits 5. Salt and pepper shakers that stick to the table 6. Drunk people to laugh at. Lots and lots of drunk people. (Note: this particular perq seems a lot of fun for the drunk people, but as an infrequent drinker, I must tell you it may be more fun for the sober people) If you're looking for high-caliber cuisine, this is not the place for you... but if you find yourself bored in the middle of the night and want someplace to hang out with friends, write in peace (with frequent coffee refills), or just watch some entertaining inebriants, go check it out.
